Excellent if expensive veterinary care but the receptionists have a real problem with boundaries and ask some personal and frankly inappropriate questions

Since moving away from Bloomington, we realized how lucky we were to have called Furry Friends our dog's vet for the past ~6 years. Our new vet search hasn't been going well because we keep saying "well Dr. Cody would have done this or said that." We didn't know how good we had it until it was gone! Shame on us for waiting so long to write a review! Even with a reactive dog, we never had a bad interaction with any of the staff. Everyone we worked with was attentive, informed, accommodating, and never made us feel nervous or unsafe. Our dog didn't ~like~ vet visits, but he sure enjoyed the PB on a stick that was in his notes as a preferred bribe! The whole office seems to have a genuine love for animals and an interest in the wellbeing of Bloomington's pets. Dr. Cody is incredibly communicative and hands-on. He always did his best to lay out all of possible diagnoses/testing/treatment options so that we could make the most informed decisions about our dog's care. We never felt that we were pressured to make any specific decisions and were always given the space (and patience) to ask as many questions as we needed to. The "no dumb questions" rule seems to apply here!!! Ultimately, we are grateful that our dog got ~6 years of incredible care from the whole team at Furry Friends. We couldn't recommend this place more!

We have taken our dogs to Furry Friends for years. Our dogs are very old so we have been very good Customers…..over the past couple years $500-$1000 a month. Now when Deuce is in the process of dying….and suffering all day Sunday, they refused to even see her on Monday morning just to give her something to ease her suffering. Unbelievable!!!! You have to be kidding me! We just walked into Arlington Heights and they were compassionate and agreed to help a dying dog. Thank you Arlington Heights…..and Furry Friends GFY!!!

Our Rico has been having some health issues lately - we were able to come for a "second opinion" about his Cushings disease. They were SO much more understanding than our previous vet and truly seem like they care for our fur babies. They did additional tests, were able to adjust his medication, and explained things so much more in depth than our previous vet. I am absolutely overjoyed that Dr. Rachel and the team at Furry Friends will be in charge of Rico's care going forward - he's in such good hands here.
