Used to be a great vet, but not anymore. Getting a hold of them is impossible, they don't even call you back if you leave a message and a callback number. I called for weeks to get an appointment for my dog to be spayed, nobody answered and nobody returned my calls. I finally had to go in person to make the appointment, which is inconvenient and takes time out of my already busy days. Unacceptable.

The veterinarian dismissed our concerns, spoke only to one of two family members present, and actually said "I didn't understand a word you said," instead of "I'm sorry , could you repeat that? I had my stethoscope in." She didn't counsel us on potential effects of sedation. Arlington Heights in general simply won't understand that their chill protocol is worse than useless for our dog.I'm accustomed to a pretty low standard of medical care for myself, but i expect more from a veterinarian than what my wife, my dog, and I got from this callous heel. Just abysmal.

came here because i was looking for a closer vet (rather than keeping with banfield an hour away). not a huge fan… as others have noted, the staff seem more interested in collecting money than caring for your pet. we brought in our cat due to some dermatitis. nurse took her back to take a look and came back to tell us that she’d offer us a quote for a dental extraction. i thought at first they’d confused our cat with another one; there had been 0 discussion of her dental health, just straight to how much it would cost. finally the doctor came out and asked us to point out the rash. she took a cursory glance and said “well it’s probably fleas.” and shrugged it off. at the reception desk we found out they vaccinated her (no one informed us this would be happening or that it happened until it was time to fork over some money. i am not against it i just wasn’t prepared to pay for vaccinations today.) i asked the receptionist if she could bill it to us as i hadn’t prepared for the expense. she seemed visibly annoyed / a little aggressive and told us that we could split the payments up (if you can do that, why not bill it..??) i also asked about insurance and the receptionist was incredibly unhelpful. i think i’ll stick to my hour long drives to banfield.
